What is The Desha Show?
The show is devoted to showcasing the work of artists, interior
designers, fashionistas and other creative types who are living in their
“sweet spot”, a self-defined place where one is living a fulfilling and
meaningful life… living their dream. In my cutey pie town of Brattleboro,
VT there are SO many creative people and I hope to expose the work of these
artists whom you would not otherwise know. It’s great for them, and it’s great
for you! Watch the show right now. Right HERE.
What is The Desha Show Blog?
Because producing The Desha Show is a major learning curve, the
blog allows me to share some of my ideas and projects with you- and there's a
lot!
Blogger and award-winning Producer/Host of The Desha Show, Desha
Peacock has devoted her life to showcasing artists, interior and fashion
designers, and other creative types who are living in their sweet spots, a
self-defined place of meaning and fulfillment.
When Desha was twelve years old, she asked her mother, “Why did I
have to be born in such a boring place as Arkansas?” Since then, she’s made it
her mission to explore the world. She earned a Master’s degree in Intercultural
Service, Leadership and Management from the School for International Training,
is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator and has worked globally
from London to Costa Rica. An avid seeker of beauty and culture, she’s explored
the bazaars of Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Central America.
She’s slept in two-dollar hostels in Guatemala and boarded million dollar
yachts in the Mediterranean. In Tunisia, she rode a camel backwards in her best
friend’s wedding procession.
Desha is currently the Director of Career Development at
Marlboro College in southern Vermont, and in her private practice, she coaches
creative people on expanding their businesses and achieving their dreams. In
2011, she was awarded BCTV’s “Best Series Producer of the Year Award” and has
styled and produced area fashion shows, in addition to being the Red Carpet
Hostess for Hospice’s Wild Night on the Catwalk, drawing a crowd of more than
600.
